Nothing against people who love top 40 music, but when radio hits call the latest pop music “the hits”, that makes it seem like the music is going to be much more substantive and enjoyable then the same old auto-tuned, synth-heavy songs about shallow infatuation and partying. To me, pop music from 40 years ago is much more interesting. At least back then, most pop musicians could actually sing, and the music was played on real instruments, instead of being computerized.
